Elytra to Crow Wings [OptiFine OPTIONAL]

The differences are as follows:

CIT
The CIT version, when used in conjunction with OptiFine, allows the user to be able to choose whether or not their Elytra is the crow wing Elytra, simply by renaming the Elytra, «Crow’s Wings», in an anvil (not caps sensitive). Other Elytras without that name will appear as basic, Vanilla Elytras. This visual change will not occur for others without this resource pack installed.

VANILLA
The Vanilla version changes any and all Elytra textures in the game to crow wings and does not require renaming any items to see the texture. However, this means that every person will have the Crow’s Wings Elytra texture instead of Vanilla Elytra textures.

I assume you mean how to make CIT resource packs, where you can rename something and it changes the texture. If you want, you can have a look in the files of this pack to see how I did it. That’s how I figured it out to begin with, by perusing through the files of one of Daggsy’s packs (Upgraded Elytra).

The basic gist of it is that normally new textures for a resource pack would follow go in a folder in the «textures» folder (in the case of Elytra it would go in the «entity» folder, which is again located in the «textures» folder). BUT, instead of that, for CIT resource packs, there is no «texture» folder at all. Instead, the folders go,

assets
-minecraft
—optifine
—cit
—-a folder with your own choice of name

(as shown here in a screenshot)

The code looks like this for the Elytra texture sitting on the player’s back:

The 1st line says what type of item it is, in this case it is «elytra». For other things like a diamond chestplate it would be «type=armor».
The 2nd asks OptiFine to focus solely on the item code «minecraft:elytra» for this block of code.

The 3rd tells OptiFine what texture to change, and the name listed there («crow_elytra») matches the name of the png sitting in the «crowwings» file with it.

And finally, the 4th is saying the parameters needed for this texture to change, which in this case is for the item’s display name to be changed to «Crow’s Wings» at an anvil.

In essence it’s like,

«I’m looking for Elytra,

with the item code minecraft:elytra,

and I want the crow_elytra.png texture sitting in the file with us to replace it,

if the item gets renamed to Crow’s Wings.»

If you’re not looking for help with CIT stuff and you just wanna replace the texture in a much simpler fashion, then ignore all this and focus solely on all that I’ve done in the «Custom Crow Elytra Public Vanilla» folder. I feel comfortable that you can figure that out pretty easily, it’s just the same as any other Vanilla resource pack and is just a matter of replicating the files Minecraft has already but replacing the textures within said files.

Но, к сожалению, в стандартном клиенте игры нельзя изменить их внешний вид. Поэтому фанаты выпустили пакет текстур Papa Smurfs Draco Elytra Wings.

После установки этих текстур, у игрока появится возможность выбрать один из восьми вариантов оформления Элитр. Каждый из них отличается цветом. Выберите то что вам понравится и наслаждайтесь крутыми текстурами.

Автор специально разделил их по разным файлам, чтобы не нагружать устройство. И не применяйте скинов с плащами, иначе пакет не будет работать!
